Overview

Deir el Medina (The Valley of the Workers) is one of the hidden jewels in the mountains of the Theban Necropolis; the place where the workers who dug the royal tombs had lived for almost 500 years. It contains remains of the village, their tombs and a small temple. Followed by Madinet Habu Temple (The Funeral Temple of King Ramesses III) which is the second largest temple in Egypt after Karnak. And finally the Valley of the Queens where most of the kings’ wives were buried.
